Plenty, when it comes to Free Matilda. Our Aussie bushies called the swags they carried ‘Matilda’. And it could often be a pretty hefty load on their backs. Trying to get a community project off the ground can also be a hefty load. We exist to get rid of that load and make your task easier and successful. Our logo represents the many community opportunities that exist, coming together to form one larger centre of focus. We are all about assisting Communities to put service, responsibility, youth training and sustainability above growth and profits, with the objective of enabling them to become more self sufficient and reliant.

We deliver results through experienced volunteer Field Workers who are appointed by your local Community Committees. We assist those Committees with planning and funding to recruit, mentor and manage their Field Workers.
And importantly have total independence to implement their plan and get on with the job.

Community needs are wide and varied. Our 5 main areas of community assistance are designed to meet those needs without outside interference. They can be groups or individuals.
